Anchoring the composition is a distinctive koundar buta, whose form departs from convention and adds individuality to the design. The embroidery is finished with a carefully defined outline that lends the motifs a pronounced clarity against the ground. Though minimal in overall composition, the subtle highlight within the stitching gives the piece a refined edge, allowing detail and finish to become its defining strength.
