Kani Daisy Buta Hand Woven Pashmina Shawl Coffee Blue

Regular price Rs.300,000.00 INR

This sumptuous Kani weave shawl in a dusty coffee bean brown pashmina is scattered with bunches of daisies in soothing blues with rich green leaves. The shawl is finished with a perfectly paired border along the short ends.

The famous Kashmir shawls that were at the height of fashion in the late 18th and 19th centuries were woven in a fine twill tapestry technique called Kani. The technique gets its name from the small eyeless bobbin called Kan, used to weave the design into fabric. This exquisite technique survives till today only in the Kashmir valley.
