Kani Nargis Buti Hand Woven Large Pashmina Shawl Rust Orange

正常价格 Rs.275,000.00 INR

The Nargis Shawl showcases a masterful kani weave with symmetrically arranged floral buteh in soft peach and green tones against a warm rust orange pashmina base. Each motif is carefully outlined, adding depth and precision to the intricate design. Finished with an uncommon variation of the traditional kani stripe pattern along the short edges.

The famous Kashmir shawls at the height of fashion in the late 18th and 19th centuries were woven in a fine twill tapestry technique called Kani. The technique gets its name from the small eyeless bobbin called Kan, used to weave the design into fabric. This exquisite technique survives today only in the Kashmir valley.
