This embroidered pashmina shawl draws on the refined floral vocabulary of the Mughal atelier, presenting naturalistic butas that convey a sense of gentle movement and spatial depth. The motif is adapted from an eighteenth-century Mughal patka, where it was originally executed in luminous gold zari. Reinterpreted here in pashmina, the flowing articulation of the floral forms lends the composition a quiet vitality, balancing historical reference with a sense of lightness and renewal.
