The field of this shawl is organised around richly detailed butas arranged in a symmetrical layout, creating a sense of order and visual harmony. Each motif is finely worked with a distinctive internal structure, giving the design a rare character that conveys a feeling of depth and richness. The density and refinement of the work lend the piece an opulent, courtly presence.
Framing the composition is an unusual border formed by a sequence of square units, each enclosing a mandala-like floral form. This geometric arrangement introduces a rhythmic edge treatment, balancing the complexity of the field while adding a distinctive architectural finish to the overall design.
