Inspired by the famous Madras checks that became a global phenomenon in the 17th century through East India Company trade, this pattern later travelled across many regions as British commerce expanded. Our Madras Scarf is an effort to reclaim this indigenous design and reinterpret it in pashmina, bringing the motif back to its roots through fine craftsmanship. The colorful mirage of checks makes it a striking statement piece that celebrates India’s rich textile traditions.
