Kani Surkh Gulab Palledar Hand Woven Oversize Pashmina Shawl Kuklihut

Regular price Rs.350,000.00 INR

Drawing inspiration from the quintessential Mughal poppy, neatly arranged buteh embellishes both ends of this shawl, with a complementing border. The oversized shawl is a testament to the masterful weaving skills of our artisans, showcasing their unwavering commitment to their craft.

The famous Kashmir shawls that were at the height of fashion in the late 18th and 19th centuries were woven in a fine twill tapestry technique called Kani. The technique gets its name from the small eyeless bobbin called Kan, used to weave the design into fabric. This exquisite technique survives today only in the Kashmir valley.
