Inspired by a vintage shawl, possibly dating to the early nineteenth century, this piece revives a distinctive design vocabulary drawn from historic Kashmiri textiles. The field is filled with tiny floral motifs rendered in sharply angular forms, giving the surface a structured and almost graphic character.
The precision of the outlines and the careful use of multiple colours bring remarkable clarity to the miniature motifs. This exactness of execution, combined with the complexity of the palette, makes the shawl a truly distinctive piece within the tradition.

Craft: Kani, a double interlock twill tapestry weave.

The ends are finished in a hand-combed natural fringe.
