Kani Ghulabdar Hand Woven Pashmina Shawl Indigo Pink
Regular priceRs.415,000.00 INR
Inspired by an early 18th-century kani weave shoulder mantle, this shawl is a classic in the Kashmir Loom collection. The shawl's distinction is offered by the fine harmony of pink roses on an indigo ground and their perfectly symmetrical butis.
The famous Kashmir shawls that were at the height of fashion in the late 18th and 19th centuries were woven with a special technique with a small bobbin or eyeless needle onto which is wound the yarn of the different colors needed to make the design of a twill- tapestry fabric. This fine technique is known as Kani.
