Kani Gulraz Hand Woven Pashmina Shawl Forest Green
Regular priceRs.385,000.00 INR
The three-rose motif in this Kani Weave cashmere shawl is inspired by a vintage 18th-century Fragment in the Victoria and Albert Museum, also made in Kashmir.
The famous Kashmir shawls that were at the height of fashion in the late 18th and 19th centuries were woven in a fine twill tapestry technique called Kani. The technique gets its name from the small eyeless bobbin called Kan, used to weave the design into fabric. This exquisite technique survives today only in the Kashmir valley.
