A classic trio of flowers, set against a Mughal-inspired trellis pattern, defines this Kani weave pashmina shawl in a harmonious blend of ivory and blue tones. The soft colors and intricate detailing enhance its overall charm.
The famous Kashmir shawls at the height of fashion in the late 18th and 19th centuries were woven in a fine twill tapestry technique called Kani. The technique gets its name from the small eyeless bobbin called Kan, used to weave the design into fabric. This exquisite technique survives today only in the Kashmir valley.
The Kani Gulal Tour Shawl is hand-woven in a timeless nature-inspired design.
