Abundant roses in the Kashmir Valley have inspired designs across all heritage craft traditions in the region. Roses are an important motif in the design vocabulary of the fine hand-woven Kani weave shawls, a craft tradition which only survives in Kashmir today. The Rosedar Jaal Shawl features this all-over vine pattern with roses and the surrounding fauna, woven on natural pashmina. The shawl is finished with quintessential Kani weave stripes in coordinating colors, adding to its intricate beauty and elegance.
