Kani Big Badam Palledar Hand Woven Oversize Pashmina Shawl Camel

Regular price Rs.120,000.00 INR

The famous Kashmir shawls at the height of fashion in the late 18th and 19th centuries were woven with a unique technique. The pattern was woven as part of the shawl in a very fine twill tapestry technique known as Kani from the Kan which is a kind of stick pointed at each end around which the yarn is wrapped.

This shawl is an unusual yet whimsical depiction of floral paisleys (Badam) with flowers on the short ends of this cashmere shawl.
